Know Dr. Rajendra KC
Born on April 19, 1967 in the Dhading District of Nepal, Dr. Rajendra KC has spent his life asking one question: how do we build institutions that outlast us?
With a PhD in Public Administration from the United States (2006), he returned to Nepal not with a degree to hang on a wall, but with a mandate to transform. He founded Southwestern State College, the Nepal PhD Association, and a constellation of organizations across education, agro-tourism, and hospitality.
He leads a team of over 500 professionals — not through hierarchy, but through what he calls a "persistent, optimistic, and collaborative approach to complex problem-solving." His record backs it up: six major national and international awards, partnerships with the British Embassy, WWF Nepal, the United Nations, and institutions across Europe and North America.
Outside of work, he finds his truest inspiration at home — in his wife and two daughters, who remind him every day why institutions matter in the first place.
